DISCOUNTED GORILLA PERMITS IN RWANDA AND UGANDA
The destination Uganda has got a provision for gorilla trekking permits’ discounting especially in the low seasons. This is normally done in the months of November and the price of a gorilla permit in Uganda is reduced from the normal fee of $600 to $350 for foreign nonresidents, from $500 to $250 for foreign residents and from 250,000/= to 150,000/= for East African citizens. This promotion initiative is done every year and the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) announces the offer when it is up for use by Uganda gorilla safari undertakers.
In Rwanda, the ORTPN tend to maintain the price of a gorilla trekking permit at a cost of $750 though out the year. This shows that in Rwanda there are no opportunities for discounted gorilla permits.
